Dan Revette
As a climber, hiker and all around active person, Dan fell into massage as a way to understand more about the human body and ways to help overcome his various overuse and lifestyle related issues. He takes a holistic approach to massage, focusing on treating the underlying sources of pain, to help alleviate and prevent further injury. After working through multiple rotator cuff strains, finger-pulley tears, and sciatic impingement, Dan has a deep appreciation for what it feels like to lose, regain, lose again and then maintain the ability to do the things he loves. Through his personal and years of being a massage therapist, he’s comfortable working with a broad population, and specializes with rotator cuff and hip issues as well as prenatal massage.
“We go through life moving our bodies in any number of weird and unpredictable ways, and then one day we step off the curb wrong and everything hurts! Life takes a toll and we can be mindful of how these external stressors stack up, but sometimes it takes a little jolt before we get the message.”
Dan completed the massage therapy program at the Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts in 2017 and has been an active LMT since then. His main form of treatment is deep tissue massage with trigger point release and active stretching. He incorporates range of motion techniques as well as softer approaches, such as myofascial release, in his sessions.
