Dr. Ally Quintos

Dr. Kelly Perona

Dr. Ally Quintos
Dr. Ally is one of those rare extraverted Seattleites. She loves to help others move better and feel better while holding a compassionate, motivating space. As with other providers at Flourish, Dr. Ally believes that any progress in health, no matter how small, is a step forward and should be celebrated. Some days that will be earning a PR at the gym. Other days that will be simply showing up for your appointment. Your best will change from day to day, and it is enough.
Dr. Ally uses chiropractic adjusting, muscle scraping (gua sha), pin and stretch, and therapeutic exercises, while also addressing behavioral modifications, nutrition, and lifestyle factors all for optimal wellness. She is primarily a diversified manual adjuster, and also implements Thompson Drops and instrument-assisted adjustments. Some of her patients prefer instrument-only and that is welcomed by her.
She takes a movement and biomechanics based approach to chiropractic to promote function and wellbeing. As an avid runner, Dr. Ally loves helping people with hip, knee and shoulder injuries. She is amazed at how many people who hike or run have neck and shoulders tension! Aside from sports injuries or helping people continue doing what they love, she also has experience in pediatrics and prenatal, and really enjoys working with children, from 1 month to 17 years old. She loves supporting those who are expecting throughout their pregnancy, whether it be back pain, hip pain or overall wellness.
Dr. Ally returned to Seattle in 2020 to practice and joined Flourish in 2022. When Dr. Ally is outside of the office, she enjoys running, spending time with her family, and playing with her pup, Franklin.

Dr. Kelly Perona
Dr. Kelly focuses on intentional healing and pain relief using hot stones, adjustments, focused massage, and stretches to encourage movement in the body, as well as preventive/self-care, posture and general wellbeing.
She is Webster-certified and has studied in the most painless, effective treatment methods available which involve traditional hands-on adjustments or instrument.
From Dr. Kelly: I love connecting with people and holding a supportive space for their needs. I started school to become a dentist with the intent to have a career in helping people. Three years into my schooling, I changed my profession to chiropractic after a car accident so I could focus on treating muscle and joint problems naturally. I love witnessing the exponential improvement chiropractic and massage can bring to whiplash or strains from MVAs, bike accidents, or other collisions. And doing so in a compassionate, validating space.
I have helped musicians, people who bind or brave MTF or FTM surgeries, runners, yoga enthusiasts, people in the restaurant industry, hairstylists, and those with the ever-elusive desk jobs. My mission is to help people live life to their fullest potential. Sometimes that is being able to work throughout the day without pain. Sometimes that is getting out of bed and brushing your teeth. There is no judgement and I am humbled and appreciative to have someone trust me to help them in their goals.
I am familiar with a large variety of body movements and mechanics and have plenty of experience with my own injuries. I also understand that healing from an injury can be difficult because you don’t want to take time off from activity. I don’t want people to settle for merely being out of pain for typical daily activities. Healing properly, to me, means being able to get back into your personal level of activity without discomfort. I’d love to help.

Understanding Joint Pain
A joint is where two or more of your bones meet. Your wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles are joints. When those connections feel uncomfortable, you’re experiencing joint pain.
People with joint pain can experience different sensations. Some people feel constant pain, while it comes and goes for others. The pain can make your joints feel stiff, achy, or sore, but it can also feel like a burning or throbbing sensation. Depending on the cause, your joints may only feel painful after you’ve been sedentary, but the pain lessens or even disappears once you start moving.
Types of Joint Pain
Joint pain can be chronic or acute and caused by illness and external factors.
- Arthritis. Arthritis is when the cartilage between your joints wears down, causing your bones to rub against each other. This rubbing creates swelling and pain in your joints. Osteoarthritis is the most common cause of arthritis, but autoimmune disorders, like rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis, can also damage the healthy tissue in your joints.
- Injury. Injury, of course, causes pain. Sports injuries (like sprains and strains), overuse, and trauma (like a car accident) can damage and inflame joints, causing pain.
- Bursitis. Your joints also have fluid-filled sacs called bursae. Bursae help cushion your joints, but they can become inflamed and painful.
- Tendinitis. Tendons attach your muscles to the bones. When your tendons are irritated or injured, they can cause joint pain where the bones connect.
- Aging. It’s normal for the tissue between joints to wear down with age.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care for Joint Pain Treatment
You can treat some types of acute and chronic joint pain at home. Applying heat or ice can soothe achy joints, while regular exercise and losing weight can improve overall joint function. Sometimes, these at-home treatments aren’t enough, and adding pain medication becomes necessary.
If these remedies aren’t enough to ease your pain, regular chiropractic care can help reduce pain and improve how you feel.
- Restore flexibility. Reducing joint pain will restore the flexibility you’ve lost and improve your daily life. You’ll find it easier to tie your shoe or reach into a cabinet.
- Increase range of motion. Chiropractic care for joint pain can also restore your range of motion. As your flexibility improves, you’ll be able to engage in more physical activity, which can improve your overall health.
- Drug-free relief. While acetaminophen or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs) can reduce pain, not everyone wants to take pain medication every day. And people with certain conditions, like stomach ulcers or kidney or liver disease, may not be able to take these medications at all. Chiropractic care can provide drug-free pain relief that improves your quality of life.
Prioritize Your Comfort
If you have pain in your wrists, shoulders, hips, ankles, knees, or any joint, chiropractic care can help. Gentle joint manipulation and soft tissue therapy will encourage your body to heal, soothe inflammation, and reduce pain in your joints and throughout your body. Schedule an appointment today.

FAQs – Chiropractic Care for Joint Pain
How does chiropractic treatment help with joint pain?
Gentle adjustments can realign your joints to reduce pain and increase your range of motion without pain medications.
Is chiropractic care safe for treating joint pain?
In most cases, chiropractic is perfectly safe to treat joint pain. However, certain inflammatory diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis, require special consideration. If you’re having an active flare and your joints are painful and swollen, a chiropractic adjustment can create more trauma and inflammation, worsening your pain instead of improving it.
How can I prevent joint pain?
Some joint pain is caused by autoimmune disorders, which you may not be able to prevent. However, joint pain that’s caused by injury or lifestyle is preventable. For example, maintaining a healthy weight decreases stress on your joints, making it less likely the protective tissue in the joint breaks down. Likewise, regular exercise keeps your joints healthy and flexible.
